Adam Young
Adam is a passionate advocate for debtors’ rights. Adam specializes in helping businesses and individuals start fresh by filing chapter 7 bankruptcies, and also in helping individuals keep their property, reorganize their payments, and get out from under debts in Chapter 13 bankruptcies. Adam is a member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys, the American Bar Association, and the Louisiana Bar Association. Adam received a Juris Doctor from Tulane University School of Law, where he competed on Moot Court teams and was a Senior Justice on the Moot Court Board.
Before becoming a full-time bankruptcy lawyer, Adam worked in the United States Congress, and for the Louisiana State Government. Later, Adam gained experience representing large insurance companies and oil companies in business deals. Finding that working for such large institutions was not personally satisfying, he resolved, along with David Kervin, to start a law practice dedicated to helping individuals–real people. He now takes his greatest pride in helping the people of Louisiana make their lives better by getting out of debt. Adam is always available to talk to his clients, and is never too busy to lend a sympathetic ear to people in need of help and stressed-out about financial problems.
Originally from Abbeville, Louisiana, Adam is the oldest son of Dr. & Mrs. Robert J. Young, III. While he spends his professional time practicing in both the New Orleans and Abbeville offices, Adam is an avid sportsman, adventurer, and world traveler. He enjoys mountaineering, fishing, whitewater kayaking, and always looks forward to the next trip. And, from time to time, you can find him at the Superdome cheering the Black-and-Gold to the Super Bowl.
