Professional Experience
David is an accomplished attorney and entrepreneur with a diverse background that has equipped him to be a versatile problem solver. As a lawyer, David has extensive litigation and transactional experience involving issues from business law and insurance coverage, to health care compliance and civil rights. David has represented a variety of clients in his career which include major construction companies, insurance companies and health care providers. David’s legal experience has also provided him with a strong background in health care transactions and civil litigation. David’s health care practice has given him the opportunity to structure health care business arrangements and negotiate complex transactions.
Before founding Kervin & Young, LLC with Adam, David worked as an investment adviser with one of the world’s largest investment banks, UBS. While at UBS, David held NASD Series 7 and NASD Series 66 securities licenses and performed investment analysis and financial planning for businesses and individuals. David also created and presented small business retirement planning seminars to CPAs so that they could better assist their clients in choosing the right retirement plan.
David is also General Counsel for LifeCare Madison, LLC, a health care management company. LifeCare helps rural hospitals provide psychiatric and counseling services to the elderly. David’s role at LifeCare includes providing Medicare and federal regulatory guidance, managing employees and developing provider relationships.

Education
David received his Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Louisiana at Monroe and his Juris Doctor from Texas Wesleyan University School of Law in Fort Worth, Texas. He is admitted to the bars of Texas, Louisiana and the District of Columbia. David is also admitted to practice in the Eastern, Western and Middle District courts of Louisiana, the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of the United States. David is a member of the legal honors fraternity, Phi Delta Phi.
Background
David was born and raised in northeast Louisiana where he has strong roots in agriculture. David spent his first summer jobs working in cotton fields and performing other manual labor. David appreciates Louisiana’s diverse sporting opportunities and in his free time, enjoys duck hunting, fishing and playing football and tennis with his friends.
