David Kervin Jr.

Background

David’s college degree is in business and that background made practicing bankruptcy law a natural choice. After graduating from law school, David worked at several New Orleans law firms where he represented multinational corporate clients in addition to local businesses and individuals. David’s legal experience includes health care transactions, insurance litigation, business disputes and even civil rights cases.

David’s professional experience, however, goes beyond the practice of law. Before starting the firm, David worked as an investment advisor with one of the world’s largest investment firms where he held NASD Series 7 and 66 securities licenses.  David is also the founder of Legal Climate, a legal research tool for lawyers.  David is passionate about solving financial problems and helping his clients get back on their feet and starting fresh. Since starting this firm, David has helped many people do just that. After calling David, people are often surprised by the options they have when facing tremendous debt burdens. Bankruptcy is not the only option, but one of many.

David has been interviewed by New Orleans City Business and the Associated Press regarding the wave of foreclosure filings after the economic recession and has been quoted in the Times Picayune, Seattle Times, Business Insider and Yahoo News regarding bankruptcies and foreclosures. David has also appeared as a guest on Will Gandy’s “REAL Talk,” a radio show that airs every Saturday morning on 99.5 FM.

Education

David received his Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Louisiana at Monroe and his Juris Doctor from Texas Wesleyan University School of Law in Fort Worth, Texas. He is admitted to the bars of Texas, Louisiana and the District of Columbia. David is also admitted to practice in the Eastern, Western and Middle District courts of Louisiana, the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of the United States.

David is a member of the legal honors fraternity, Phi Delta Phi and a member of the Louisiana Society for Hospital Attorneys.
